WWE SmackDown (Airing Friday):

Daniel Bryan starts off by talking about Raw on Monday and having his match stopped. He claims he’s never had a match stopped before and feels it only happened because he is considered the “weak link”. Bryan went on to say that Randy Orton should never have accepted the official’s decision but instead he “tapped me on the head like a dog”. Tonight, he wants to face Randy Orton and prove that he is not the weak link. Orton comes out and claims he helped Bryan on Monday “out of respect” but tonight, Bryan will be wheeled out on a stretcher.

Sheamus def. Cody Rhodes. Damien Sandow tried to distract Sheamus but in the end Sheamus made Rhodes submit to the Cloverleaf. After the match, Sandow attacked Sheamus.

Another Wyatt promo was shown.

Curtis Axel def. Wade Barrett. After the match, Miz tried to challenge Axel but Heyman intervened and said that his client doesn’t fight for free.

AJ Lee def. Natalya. AJ locked in the Black Widow for the submission victory.

Backstage, Aksana was bugging Kaitlyn so Kaitlyn beat her up.

Alberto Del Rio def. Chris Jericho via DQ. Both Rodrigo and Dolph Ziggler interfered causing the disqualification. After the match, Del Rio ran away and Jericho ended up hitting the Codebreaker on Ziggler. Del Rio then came back to assault Ziggler and stood over him.

Christian def. Drew McIntyre via the Killswitch. After the match, Christian did some mic work about being back but The Shield came out and triple powerbombed him.

A good backstage interview with Paul Heyman done by Rene Young. Heyman was not happy about being asked about the issues with CM Punk and didn’t want to talk about it on TV.

Daniel Bryan def. Randy Orton. I can’t remember how this one ended but I think Orton missed the RKO, so Bryan hit a suicide dive to the outside on Orton and then got back into the ring, causing Orton to be counted out.

After the match, Bryan asked for the match to be restarted but the referee refuses and walks off.

Jim Ross is back with another blog on his website, JRSBARBQ.com. Here are some highlights:

On Daniel Bryan’s Injury: “Unfortunate that Daniel Bryan got dinged up in his match with Randy Orton. Bryan is on a roll and there is no one hotter or with more momentum in WWE than Bryan. For young talents under six feet tall, there is no one better to study than Daniel Bryan. To further that thought, that concept also works well for those over 6 feet. Or 7 feet.”

On Mark Henry’s Retirement Swerve: “The Mark Henry ‘retirement’ segment was Monday Night Raw gold and will go down in history as one of the all time, great Raw moments as far as I’m concerned. I’ve see a few in my time for ther record. The TV viewer’s perception of any storyline or performance is dependent solely on the execution by the talent. Great execution can overcome mediocre material and great execution can make good material great and great creative unforgettable. Mark Henry’s performance Monday night will be remembered for years and was, without question, Mark’s finest hour since we signed him in 1995.”

On C.M. Punk, Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar, and Curtis Axel: “The Punk/Heyman dynamic has long legs and the verbal presentation of their issues should be priceless. Plus, this matter provides young, Curtis Axel an opportunity for more ‘rubs’ with established stars. Brock Lesnar coming out on the end of Raw was a big surprise. (I’m so happy that info was not spread throughout the internet or on Twitter Monday as a ‘spoiler.’ The only ‘spoiler’ that I like is the late, Don Jardine, if you care.)”

Muscle and Fitness has an interview up with TNA star Sting where he talks about how much longer he plans to wrestle. For those unaware, he’s now 54 years old and still going strong. He said:

“I’ve learned not to give a time. I can’t go on wrestling much longer. I’m taking it, literally, one month at a time. I’m under contract until January of next year, so we’ll see what’s happening. I do want to do more movies. I’m looking at a few different things, reality shows being one of them. I’m just trying to move onto the next season of my life. As far as wrestling goes, I’ve stayed away from the creative part of it all these years, I just don’t want to sit in on the meetings and babysit wrestlers and personalities and all that. But, there are things I’d like to see happen in pro wrestling and I may try to make it materialize. I don’t know.”

Partial Source: Pwinsider

UPDATE: There are conflicting reports on what went down between Triple H and Daniel Bryan backstage at RAW Monday night. As seen on RAW, Randy Orton defeated Daniel Bryan after the referee stopped the match as Bryan appeared to be injured. It was later revealed that he suffered a “stinger”. As reported, the finish was a legit “shoot” as the original outcome had Bryan pinning Orton clean. This was being done to continue pushing Daniel Bryan as they have major plans for him this summer and he’s expected to headline SummerSlam against John Cena.

After the match was over, Daniel Bryan was said to have been “irate” backstage and approached Triple H at the gorilla position. The two got into a heated shouting match with Bryan saying he’s wrestled all over the world and knows how far he can go and how injured he really was. Triple H countered that they were protecting Bryan and didn’t want anyone hurt, especially with major plans in place for him. The two eventually apologized to each other and Bryan is backstage at SmackDown tonight, where he will face Dean Ambrose as scheduled. There were several witnesses to this with a lot of them “shocked” to see Bryan so upset. Backstage, he’s known as a “soft spoken, easy going” guy who never causes any issues. They were shocked at the fact that he was standing up to someone as high up as Triple H. WWE.com posted a video with Triple H late last night where he addressed the issue. The question is – were Triple H and Daniel Bryan “in on it” and set up a “shoot” atmosphere backstage? That now seems unlikely as the injury, which was legitimate, obviously wasn’t planned beforehand and the backstage argument would have never occurred if he wasn’t injured in the first place.

You can click here to view a video of Triple H talking about the incident. “H” says Daniel Bryan came to the “gorilla position” and was upset about the match being stopped. He says they both “apologized” to each other later in the night and things had “cooled down” between the two.

More as we get it.

ORIGINAL: For those wondering, Daniel Bryan’s injury on RAW was legitimate. He suffered a “stinger” as noted by Michael Cole during the live broadcast. The finish of the match where it was stopped was essentially a “shoot” as Daniel Bryan was scheduled to win the match. The part where D-Bryan “flipped out” and got into a heated argument with Triple H at the gorilla position is storyline related and something WWE decided to add in during the live show. WWE.com posted an interview with Triple H after RAW went off the air where he talked about the “incident.”

– There is currently a LIVE WWE & TNA **SPOILER** and WZR Radio chatroom IN PROGRESS at http://www.wzronline.com/chat/

– The 6/10 WWE RAW ranked among the top 10 shows on cable last week for the week ending 6/16/13. The three hours of RAW ranked 6, 7 and 10. As noted last Monday here on the website, the show drew a final 3.04 (3.) cable rating with an average audience of 3.99 million viewers.

– UPDATE: WWE RAW drew a final 3.0 cable rating, with an average of 4.15 million viewers. That is down 1% from last week.

ORIGINAL: Last night’s edition of WWE RAW drew 4.15 million viewers. The first hour drew 4.03 million viewers, the second hour drew 4.26 million viewers and the third hour drew 4.17 million viewers. That is up from last week’s 3.99 million viewers so the rating will increase a bit. This is also the first time RAW has averaged over four million viewers since May 20th.

The three hours of Monday night RAW ranked #5, #3 and #4 in the 18-49 key demographic for the night. There was no competition from the NBA this week so that obviously helped them out. The final number will be out shortly.

– For those who may have missed our post-RAW report last night, Ryback was backstage at RAW and worked the dark match main event. It turned out to be a Tables Match between him and John Cena.

– We can confirm that Christian is backstage at the SmackDown tapings right now in Dayton, OH. He’s back full-time now.

– We can also confirm that The Wyatt Family is backstage at SmackDown but won’t be appearing live. The trio were also backstage at RAW last night.

– Last night’s edition of WWE RAW drew 4.15 million viewers.

– For those wondering, Daniel Bryan’s injury on RAW was legitimate.

– There will be a WWE SmackDown TV taping in Las Vegas, NV on August 27th, 2013.

– The following press release was issued today:

Post® Fruity Pebbles™ Connects Fans With WWE® Champion John Cena®

Cereal Features WWE Superstar in TV Commercials, Mobile App, and Toy Giveaway

By Post Foods, LLC and WWE

PARSIPPANY, N.J. AND STAMFORD, CONN., JUNE 18, 2013 — /PRNewswire/ — WWE Superstar John Cena can add another notch to his WWE Championship title, this time knocking Fred Flintstone® out of the ring, off of the box, and out of TV commercials. Post Fruity Pebbles is expanding its existing partnership with WWE and Cena, through the launch of two new TV commercials, a photo app, and an on-pack giveaway. Previously, John Cena appeared as a “Pebble-ized” character on special boxes of Fruity and Cocoa Pebbles, and now he’s back for more.

“We’re thrilled to be expanding our partnership with John Cena beyond the cereal box and connecting him with fans both on TV and at play,” said Sharon Pupel, Marketing Director at Post Foods. “We hope kids enjoy virtually interacting with the ‘champ’ through the launch of the PebblesPics app and on-pack giveaway, and we want to make sure we continue to provide fans with fun and positive experiences, not only at the breakfast table, but throughout the day whenever and wherever they choose to play.”

“I am excited to continue to develop WWE’s relationship with Post Fruity Pebbles,” said Cena. “The ability to reach young WWE fans through the brand’s commercials and new mobile app is a great opportunity.”

The TV campaign consists of two new spots, both of which are currently on air. The first TV spot features Cena enjoying a bowl of Fruity Pebbles to amp up his morning. In the second spot, Cena drives fans to a new interactive mobile app, PebblesPics, giving them the chance to virtually get in the ring with the record-breaking WWE Champion.

PebblesPics, available today through iTunes and in the Google Play store, allows users to create a photo of themselves “posing” with Cena by superimposing an image of him alongside their own image, making it appear as though the user has actually been photographed standing with the WWE Superstar. Two photos of Cena are available upon download, and additional bonus images can be unlocked when the user scans their Pebbles cereal box via a QR code. Users also have the option to share the images with their friends across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Additionally, fans can take Cena home – this time in action figure format. With the purchase of two boxes of Pebbles cereal, fans can receive two free Mattel® WWE® Rumblers® figures.

For more information about Post Pebbles™ or to download the photo app, please visit Facebook.com/PebblesCereal or PebblesMania.com/app.
