A.W. tweeted the following on Saturday:

If I smoked crack or did steroids I’d get suspended but I made a joke and tweeted support Linda and I get fired. #Doesn’tAddUp #Hmmmmm

People are asking me to bash the WWE. I’m not going to do that but I will point out my discrepancies. There are too many men and women…

…that put their lives on the line for this job. I respect all my fellow former employees. They deserve so much better. Maybe one day.

I don’t have a bad thing to say about anyone on a personal level. It’s the higher up politics that are BS. My lockeroom was great. #ThankU

As we exclusively noted earlier here on the website, A.W. is basically saying what over half the current WWE roster wants to say and would say if they were to be released from the company. The issue is these guys love working for WWE and aren’t trying to get fired; they simply want to be paid what they deserve with the company making millions of dollars, especially on overseas tours and pay-per-view events. Numerous mid-card talents are “playing it smart” and are still trying to figure out a way to go about calling out the company without losing their jobs. As we’ve been reporting, they feel now is the time to speak out with Linda McMahon’s senate campaign. It’s interesting that after our reports broke about talents only being paid $500 bonuses on the recent Brazilian tour where WWE made millions of dollars, the company sent out a mass text message on Friday informing them that they’d be paid more. Many feel it’s basically “damage control” as they don’t want this news to leak to Linda McMahon’s senate campaign as it would obviously open her up to numerous attacks by her opponents. There likely would have been nothing done if that news hadn’t leaked out and Linda McMahon wasn’t running. Stay tuned for more.

I’ll just wait to be posted here: Linda McMahon loses senate campaign … the reason? Wrestlers outgoing on Twitter rants.

Lmao. I think she wil lose even if this wasn’ going on.

AW is leading the WWE revolution. Somebody at that company needs to do some pr control and let the bosses know you can’t treat the talent like bottom feeders, and expect them to stay quiet once you fire them. Wrestler burn their bridges all the time, even when they haven’t been wronged. What do you think they’ll say when they have been??

AW is going the cm punk route with his “tweetbombs” but he is right in everything he said

He needs to stick with wrestling and manage Scott Steiner. They could terrorize the industry via twitter.

WWE have to be VEEERY careful now they have encouraged fans to follow their Superstars on twitter. As soon as things like this happen, they’ll do what AW has done and (heaven forbid) speak their mind, and in a country where freedom of speech is apparently very important, this could really hurt them.
If I was going to start a union/revolution in the wrestling industry, I’d use social media to do just that. get to the grassroots, get the fans behind them.
And more importantly, the press. With the Linda campaign in full flow, a locker room rebellion like this, over the issues AW mentions would absolutely blow the roof off her campaign. As it is, i think she’s doomed to fail anyway, and the rich folks always do whatever the rich folks like, and damn the rest. But a smart, unified locker room would have a LOT of power.
Let’s face it, wrestlers come and go – always been the way, but if half the roster leave at once and get offered slots by, lets say, TNA, then there’s a BIG rival to WWE. The BIG names (Taker, HHH, Lesnar etc) can’t fight each other all then time, nor can they fight unknowns without them being either groomed via FCW or through the indies. And they can’t very well go back to senior TNA guys because in their infinite wisdom (and arrogance) they’ve run them down to the point they would be seen as ridiculous opponents.
best and quickest way out of this – WWE start a union, offer healthcare to their employess and for goodness sake, the absolute basic minimum – pay for your talents travel from one location to the next! That just goes without saying!

who gives a shit about Linda?? she’s not going to win any type of Senate race, as for AW, i can understand his frustration & if he’s doing these “tweet rants” to help the other guys being fucked over, the good for him, but i really just see this as him being upset over his own firing…..
