Alex Riley was on WWE TV quite often a year ago after turning on The Miz and starting a singles run. He has since been appearing less and less and usually not booked well. There are times when he works Superstars matches but for the most part, he has not been featured.

The push was reportedly ended because of an incident with John Cena several months ago. One sources notes Cena was ribbing Riley in front of other wrestlers and Riley became upset. When he reacted in an angry manner, this was looked at as “breaking the locker room code” among the wrestlers.

    Wow what bs, another lame excuse. They are holding down talents bc of dumb shit like that. I’d be PISSED to if I was riley bc we all know CENA SUCKS

    If anyone actually believes this crap, they’re insane. Riley isn’t being pushed because they tried it, and he proved he simply wasn’t that great. He’s enhancement talent, and there’s no shame in that, but it’s what he is.

    You forget sometimes how much like circus/carnival folk these wrestlers are. When a fight kicks off, no one is meant to intervene as it’s just not done, etc, etc. I understand respect, but if some guy like Cena (there or thereabouts the same age as Riley) was taking the piss out of me, I’d have something to say as well. It is pretty juvenile in the locker room, clearly. I bet the European and British guys have a hard time getting their heads around it , because we’re just not brought up that way.
