– CM Punk’s WWE Championship victory over Daniel Bryan Sunday at Money in the Bank extended two pay-per-view streaks. His win marked as his eighth consecutive successful title defense on pay-per-view. However, despite his reign atop WWE, it was the seventh consecutive pay-per-view in which he did not defend the title in the main event. It should be noted that at 5PM EST yesterday (three hours before the show went live), CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan was penned in to close the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. They changed things at the very last minute in favor of the RAW Money in the Bank match. We’ll have more on why the change was made shortly. Stay tuned.

– Former WWE Superstar Bobby Lashley turns 36 years old Monday.

The change was made because Cena was in the MITB same reason as always. How they always treat their workhorse champions Bret, Chris Benoit etc. Difference is punk has the attitude and character to draw as the main event. They just wont give him the chance.

Uh oh….you said the Chris B. name! The WWE is so ashamed of him now…just too bad that they used him up and burned him out. I know what Chris did was not cool at all…but he was great in the ring.

They changed it so John Cena could be the big hero and get the big pop from brain dead fans who cheer on a guy with zero in-ring skills, but lets not forget his great mic skills and ability to sell that Merchandise….which is the most important thing to Vince.
If Vince really respected his titles on Raw and Smackdown he would have the matches for the titles at the end of the PPV…show some respect for the titles and quit worrying about John Cena getting the last pop of the night. Again Vince does not respect real wrestling fans….just his pocket lining fans that buy up the Merchandise.

yeah what a shame, a company is trying to make money.
      Cena has earned his place.
Before he came to Raw all we had was week after week of TripleH

Nothing wrong with making money…just make sure you give the fans top notch action matches while emptying the pockets of fans…whether they be brain dead or not.

Cena earned his place? He did not earn it in the ring…he is one of the most robotic looking, slow technicians in the ring! At least Triple H has in ring talent.

Before tyhe pay-per-view, I read that John Cena is planned to win the Money In The Bank match. I also read that Punk-Bryan was planned to close the show. To be honest, John Cena is my sixth favourite superstar of all-time. Yet, I too will eventually get “bored” of John Cena, as I currently am. As a fan, I started watching WWE back in 2004-2005. Traditionally, the world-title matches should close the shows. When I saw the promo for Punk-Bryan and that the match was going to start and not be the last match of the night, I realized that the only reason WWE is making the Money In The Bank match end the show is not because of the match, but because they want John Cena winning to be the final event of the show. It really dissaponts me on how much attention WWE is giving to John Cena. Has he earned his spot, deservably so, but WWE is going over-board in making him the main guy and the “face” of the WWE.

Most likely because they wanted to change things up in the match order, so it wasn’t “MITB, Title Match, MITB, Title Match.” And it adds more suspense to who Punk will have gunning for him now, as the Money in the Bank winner.

Since we are speaking about the WWE championshitip…what is up with the ugly belt?
It looks like someone threw up jewels on a serving tray. The title should have class in its appearance…not the next new gimmick…like the spinner, now non spinner.
The World Heavyweight Champion belt is a classic belt that will always have respect.
The TNA World title is a nice looking title as well.
