WWE announced Friday that they come to terms on the release of WWE Superstar A.W. as of today, August 10, 2012. The announcement reads:

WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstar A.W. as of today, August 10, 2012. WWE wishes A.W. the best in all his future endeavors.

The terminated personality subsequently went on multi-post diatribe on Twitter ripping the organization:

AWPromotions is no more ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for your support and hate, it’s been a great run. Now I get to do me which isn’t PG!

@TitusONeilWWE & @DarrenYoungWWE thank you for allowing me to speak on your behalf. You guys are the best and I’m glad to call u my friends!

I’ve offended the wrong people that taught me how to have ATTITUDE It was the #WWE that made me bold and now it has turned it’s back on me

    I think AW is oblivious to where WWE is right now. It’s a PG show with the majority of kids as the fans. This unfortunately not the Attitude Era, its the PG-Era (dare say PG-13). If he want to “be himself” then there’s ROH or TNA to do that. he’ll just have to take a paycut.

          the attitude era died 10 years ago an only last for 3 to 4 years.
          outside that,it’s been about the same audience they’ve gone after.

          ECW went exclusively for the adult audience and died.
          WCW went for it and died.
          WWE went for it and ratings tanked after Rock/Austin left.
          Wrestlemania XIX was the last hurrah,now they’re drawing in new fans and making money again with guys like Cena,Punk,and Orton.

          Somehow watching Austin stick around like Hogan has is somehow acceptable? Austin has been brawling just like Cena has.

          Whats’ the main difference? Cena cheated on his wife while Austin did that while beating her? lol

            ECW died from bad business decisions and a rotten TV deal

            WCW died from horrendous writing and a corporation that didn’t want wrestling on their station.

            WWE slipped from changing stone cold heel and rock going hollywood. Now they are DYING A SLOW DEATH from making all the mistakes of the other two companies listed above.

    I’d say Penny Arcade is pretty popular amoung the internet crowd,they throw those conventions twice a year and donate millions to hospitals with childs play and they got attacked for making a rape joke about “dickwolves” so good to see WWE fire him before a firestorm started. It’s not like they won’t hire him back…

    Sucks for Abraham Washington. If NOT given from that “on-air comment” about that “related incident”, he would NOT be released. But, it is what it is… and I can see that he’s lashing out on the WWE regarding about their actions and stuff. Good for him! :) !
