Former WWE creative member Court Bauer said in a recent podcast that he believes WWE will regret the Rock’s latest run with the company. Bauer spoke with Steven Muehlhausen at Between The Ropes and said that the Rock’s run from 2011 to WrestleMania 29 didn’t help anyone.

Bauer said, “I think everyone’s going to look back and have a lot of regrets about this partnership. I don’t think John Cena is anymore over for quote unquote being endorsed by The Rock at all. I don’t think the creative and the booking was at any point really great with The Rock. From day one in 2011 to the last few weeks going into WrestleMania, there was no sparkling great moment ever.”

I agree 100% only mildly entertaining part was the video and satellite promos in before mania 27

I’m glad someone finally came out and said it now if only Vince could understand that. Time to focus on the overwhelming amount of good young talent they have now

Have to agree, of all the post-Attitude era guys who didn’t need to be ‘made’ by The Rock, its Cena. Ziggler, maybe. Miz, but Cena has done SO much in his career and won more in terms of gold than The Rock ever did. The logic evaded me. They seemed to going for a reversal of Icon vs Legend from WM 18, but failed badly. WWE need to show more faith in the talent they already have. VKM can’t pull folks in from WCW or the territories anymore as he crushed them all and this lack of faith in developmental looks weak. Time to put some stock in the roster and stop relying on old Attitude era talent.
