Kurt Angle tore into CM Punk on Twitter Monday night. Angle slammed Punk for apparently referring to TNA as an “indy league,” posting:

Punk wants to Say Tna Is An Indy League? I Was On top in Wwe when You Were trying to Get a Job Anywhere. It Was My Choice to go to Tna

If I ever See You Punk, Hide Bitch!

TNA is an indy league with television programming. They just have deep pockets, but Hogan, Flair, Angle, Hardy, Bischoff and all the money in the world apparently isn’t enough to draw an average of 800 at house shows. Unlesss your a fan of the product, how many people even know TNA exist. Sure they have some amazing wrestlers and the overall product is good, but it doesn’t make them a major company, the same way ECW wasn’t a major company. It takes more than being good to become a force in any business. Until TNA stops having Impact free every week and having half of the PPV’s free in person, their not really taking the risk they need to in order to see if they can evolve and become bigger.

All I have to say is when I watch the new NXT thing they have going at Fullsail University (I think that is it) it reminds me a lot of TNA. Not the talent, TNA has great talent, but the atmosphere. What makes RAW and Smackdown so great is the atmosphere from the fans to the overall production that make the matches seem even better (even when they are not). It really is like going from an NHL game in Toronto, Montreal, etc to an AHL game. If TNA could find away to capture that atmosphere it would be one hell of a show
