– Scott Fishman of The Miami Herald is featuring an interview with WWE’s Paul Heyman discussing aspects of the new WWE 2K14 video game and giving credit to WWE for evolving and creating new younger stars on the roster.

Heyman added, “You have to credit WWE for it has a true youth initiative. It’s starts at the top. You can demonstrate all day how great you are, but if the guys at the top or the executives or the chairman of the board doesn’t sit there and say, ‘I acknowledge this.’ It ain’t happening.”

Brett Armstrong passed this along:

During the Raw commercials up here in Canada (on Monday night), they told us the “main events” for Raw and Smackdown (in Toronto and Ottawa respectively). Now I think it’s fair to assume these are dark matches as they wouldn’t make sense otherwise. But the “main event” for Raw is being billed as Axel & Heyman vs. Punk in a Handicap match and for Smackdown Orton defends his WWE title vs. Daniel Bryan. They also mentioned tickets still being available.

Yeah – developed younger stars – big deal – they are all boring – that’s why WWE gets half the ratings WWF got.

When they said “youth initiative”, I thought they meant how WWE appeals to those only 8 and under.

The kids watching RAW now say “This is childish” and put on iCarly.
