– Two matches were featured on today’s episode of WWE Saturday Morning Slam on The CW.

In the first bout, WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz beat Justin Gabriel via Skull Crushing Finale. In the second match, Sin Cara countered Jinder Mahal’s powerbomb attempt with the X-Factor and then hit the Swanton Bomb for the victory.

Sandwiched between both matches was a segment on WWE Superstars stating their opinion on who had the best entrance music. Both Kofi Kingston and Daniel Bryan said Ultimate Warrior, while Beth Phoenix said Kane, Dolph Ziggler said “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Kaitlyn said Brodus Clay, Layla said Lay-Cool, and John Cena said his own.

– Ryback addressed oft-made comparisons between himself and Bill Goldberg during an interview published in the latest issue of WWE Magazine. He said they don’t bother him and that “people are misinformed.”

“People see a big guy with a shaved head who’s intense, and they draw those comparisons,” said Ryback. “I will say this: Goldberg did this for the money. He was never a fan of wrestling. I do this because I have a passion for it, and that’s the biggest difference between Goldberg and me. I’m not here to make five million dollars and then walk away. I’m here for life. And, I firmly believe that I’m much better than he was in the ring. He was great, and I was a fan of his when I was younger. But, I feel I’m a better athlete and wrestler than Goldberg ever was, and people are going to see that over time.”

I agree with him about having passion and loving the business more than Goldberg… but a better wrestler? Ryback sleep! lol Didn’t he damn near die trying to lift Tensai?

tensai was to ryback what william regal was to goldberg. but tensai clearly sand bagged him. there was no effort in tensai getting himself over rybacks shoulders

true, Tensai was basically “dead weight” & Ryback still lifted him, Tensai is fuckin’ terrible & needs to be released, his entire gimmick is just stupid now & the crowd doesn’t give 2 shits about him, go back to Japan fat boy

I agree. he was better in Japan. wwe is making a fool of him and that stupid gimmick

as soon as Cena beat him, his run was over….he’s basically a jobber now

Ryback is right & over time, if he proves to be a good wrestler & have better in-ring skills, then the “Goldberg” comparisons will stop….as long as he doesn’t let it get to him & just continues to do what he does best, it won’t matter in the long run….Goldberg had less moves than Cena & poor promo skills, and he carried it for years, so Ryback should do just fine in the biz, maybe even better….

i would love to see him get some pro mo time, all we have seen him do is stare into the camera and breath heavily, i wanna him talk shit. he could be the next big thing with time since they are already looking for a replacement for cena
