– Former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis has been announced to appear ringside for CHIKARA Pro’s King of Trios tournament September 14-16. She will be in the corner of Mike Bennett and the Young Bucks when they take on The Warlord, Barbarian and Meng.

– Lex Luger is featured in today’s “Superstar Spotlight” on WWE.com.

– DGUSA manager Larry Dallas recently spoke about being a manger, working in Japan and more. Here are the highlights…

On his recent tour of Japan: “A major difference is wrestling is still a big deal over there and still presented as a sport…over there it’s called a game…they say good luck at your game tonight because it would be the equivalent of like a soccer game or something like that. It’s treated as a sport by the magazines and newspapers over there.”

On his least favorite place to work: “I hated going to Canada. I hated Canada’s customs. I got detained at the border going to Toronto for like 2 1/2 hours. Canada is a horrible horrible place to travel to. Mexico you might have to worry about getting robbed by a drug cartel but I’m pretty sure you won’t get detained at the border for 2 1/2 hours. I hate everything about it I hated driving to it I hated having to figure out how to change the MPH in my car to Kilometers I hated the border patrol and I hated how expensive it is…Canada is absolutely the worst place on the planet next to Philadelphia…”

On the manager role in wrestling: “I grew up in a very manager heavy era of the NWA and the WWF back when mangers were in the main event of every program. You didn’t have a heel that didn’t have a manager back then…everyone talks about being a good technical wrestler…you need managers to bring out that aspect of somebody that might have a talent at one thing that maybe can’t do something else…it can give a person an identity that maybe otherwise wouldn’t have one. They don’t wanna use it nowadays and I understand it…AW probably didn’t do anybody any favors…but I think there will always be a place for managers.”
